Those who mourn and weep. Why? Mourning and weeping are fruits of biblical repentance. A lifestyle void of repentance is a dead man walking. - [The Woes of the Rich, Happy, Fat, and Popular and the Blessings of the Poor, Sorrowful, Hungry, and Persecuted](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/are-you-saved/the-woes-of-the-rich-happy-fat-and-popular-and-the-blessings-of-the-poor-sorrowful-hungry-and-persecuted): Everyone is in the Blessings and Woes of Jesus Christ. The fate of all is determined by these pronouncements. Are you blessed? Are you cursed? You need to know that all the blessings are related. In parallel, all the woes are related. - [Curses for Blessings?](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/are-you-saved/curses-for-blessings): Do you seek the blessings of Jesus Christ? This may come as a shock to you. Most people in Africa are seeking the woes of Jesus Christ without knowing it. Blind and deaf false prophets are leading the people astray. - [An Introduction to the Blessings and Woes of Jesus Christ](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/are-you-saved/anintroductiontotheblessingsandwoesofjesuschrist): The primary blessing that Jesus Christ is offering is salvation from sin. Jesus Christ is drawing a line in the sand to help us discern who is saved and who is unsaved. - [The Prosperity Gospel Condemns John the Baptist, Jesus Christ, and the Apostles](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/are-you-saved/the-prosperity-gospel-condemns-john-the-baptist-jesus-christ-and-the-apostles): You can call this the Prosperity Gospel. It is a false Gospel! Why? Because by these standards John the Baptist, Jesus Christ, and the Apostles are shamed and condemned as sinners. - [Going to the Witchdoctor to Solve Your Problems?](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/are-you-saved/going-to-the-witchdoctor-to-solve-your-problems): King Saul was shut up under the silence of God — then went to the Witch of Endor. Seeking counsel from witchdoctors is putting faith in demons, and Saul died for it. - [The Gifts, Tithes, and Bribes of the Witchdoctors, Traditional Healers, and False Prophets](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/are-you-saved/the-gifts-tithes-and-bribes-of-the-witchdoctors-traditional-healers-and-false-prophets): Witchdoctors, Traditional Healers, and False Prophets have this one thing in common: Gifts, Tithes, & Bribes. Preachers for hire are a curse to Africa — and extortioners will not inherit the Kingdom of God. - [The Spirit World that Africans Need to Know About!](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/are-you-saved/the-spirit-world-that-africans-need-to-know-about): God created you with two primary components: body and soul. The body is mortal and destructible. The soul is immortal and indestructible — and goes to one of two places in the afterlife: Heaven or Hell. - [Divine Revelation in the Sky and Outer Space](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/atheism/divine-revelation-in-the-sky-outer-space): One thing has been constant day and night for thousands of years. Mortal men look up and behold the Heavens with wonder and awe. The feeling is indescribable. Now, more than ever, people are looking to the stars. - [The Human Brain is the Most Sophisticated Authoritative Computational Information Network in the Physical Universe](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/atheism/the-human-brain-is-the-most-sophisticated-authoritative-computational-information-network-in-the-physical-universe): As the mastermind of human life, the vast majority of the human brain functions outside of conscious awareness, with conscious thinking and acting only the “tip of the iceberg” or the “outer skin” of a massive underlying system. - [The Smallest Unit of Life is one of the Most Complex Entities in the Universe](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/atheism/the-smallest-unit-of-life-is-one-of-the-most-complex-entities-in-the-universe): The human cell is the smallest and most basic unit of life, and yet it is one of the most complex and highly organized entities, not only in biology, but in the known universe. - [The Second Blessing Conflicts with the Gospel in the Area of Lordship Salvation](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/baptism/the-second-blessing-conflicts-with-the-gospel-in-the-area-of-lordship-salvation): Any doctrine that contradicts Scripture is dangerous, especially if it is in direct conflict with the Gospel. The doctrine of Second Blessing conflicts with the Gospel in the area of Lordship Salvation. - [The Second Blessing?](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/baptism/the-second-blessing): Any doctrine that contradicts Scripture is dangerous, even if it is promoted by godly men who are renowned in Church History. John Wesley, Andrew Murray, A.B. Simpson, Duncan Campbell, D.L. Moody, and R.A. Torrey all believed in the Second Blessing. - [Tongues & the Book of Acts](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/baptism/tongues-the-book-of-acts): The great truths of the Bible, like the Gospel, are sometimes presented with associated minor doctrines that are easily misunderstood and hard to interpret. God never intended for the miracle of tongues to distract from the Gospel. - [Speaking in Tongues: Is it Gibberish?](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/baptism/speaking-in-tongues-is-it-gibberish): Most charismatic Christians are just speaking gibberish. They are deceived to think that they are speaking in tongues because they were coerced by their Pastor to just let their tongue wiggle loosely and run wild. - [Know what it Means to be Born Again?](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/baptism/know-what-it-means-to-be-born-again): Do you know what it means to be born again? You may think that you are a Christian because you have been born into a Christian family. But all this means nothing in the sight of God! - [Baptism is a Personal Death, Burial, & Resurrection](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/baptism/baptism-is-a-personal-death-burial-resurrection): Water baptism symbolically portrays a personal experience of death, burial, and resurrection. Immersion into the water is metaphorically depicting death and burial, while emersion out of the water is metaphorically depicting resurrection. - [New Birth](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/baptism/new-birth): You may have been born into a Christian family, but you must be born again to become a real Christian. Being spiritually reborn isn’t a birth “of blood” (Jn. 1:13). - [Repent, and be Baptized!](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/baptism/repent-and-be-baptized): A genuine and biblical repentance consists of certain verifiable fruits, the same which John called, “good fruit” (Lk. 3:9). A genuine and biblical Christian can be discerned by the fruits. - [Born of Water?](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/baptism/born-of-water): The Jews commonly referred to physical birth as being “born of water” because babies are formed and carried in the water of their mother’s womb for 9 months, and upon delivery these babies are born - [Baptism](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/baptism/baptism): This moment in biblical history serves as a warning to everyone. Not everyone who is baptized is saved because baptism is not equal to salvation. The water of baptism cannot save you. - [The Eternal Worms of Hell](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/are-you-saved/the-eternal-worms-of-hell): During a discourse in Capernaum, in Galilee, Jesus Christ spoke about the condemnation of notorious offenders in Hell (Mk. 9:42-48). Condemned souls will be subjected to the torments of unquenchable hellfire! - [The Existence of God is Weighing on Your Conscience](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/atheism/the-existence-of-god-is-weighing-on-your-conscience): Atheists like to present themselves to the public as lovers of science who will follow the facts wherever they may lead. However, these people are not innocent victims of ignorance who would be persuaded by sufficient evidence. - [The Lady of Roman Catholicism](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/roman-catholicism/the-lady-of-roman-catholicism): Devotion to Mary is on the rise. This Lady is a dazzling attraction to a billion Catholics worldwide. Her admirers increase with every century! More churches and cathedrals have been dedicated to Mary than to Jesus Christ. - [Do You Still Believe in the Pope?](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/roman-catholicism/do-you-believe-in-the-pope): Do you still believe in the Pope? The Lordship of the Roman Pontiff is not necessary for your salvation. This man is an imposter! These are empty threats from a powerless man. - [Eucharistic Adoration](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/roman-catholicism/eucharistic-adoration): Catholics call a piece of bread “the Eucharistic Lord”. Parishioners regularly assemble to gaze upon the bread in worship, while thinking to themselves, “I look at Him, and He looks at me”. - [The Miracle of the Eucharist?](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/roman-catholicism/the-miracle-of-the-eucharist): Catholics believe that the bread and wine is miraculously turned into the flesh and blood of Jesus Christ. This is called Transubstantiation. They believe the very substance of the Eucharist is literally transformed - [The Eucharist of Life?](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/roman-catholicism/the-eucharist-of-life): The lifegiving power of the Spirit comes through believing in the word of God through Jesus Christ. Clarifying this, the Lord said, “the words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are Life” (Jn. 6:63). - [The Definition of Idolatry?](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/roman-catholicism/the-definition-of-idolatry): Idolatry is a very serious sin that is sending billions of people to hell! Therefore, it is necessary for us to have a correct definition of idolatry according to the Bible. - [The Last Words of an Atheist!](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/atheism/the-last-words-of-an-atheist): “That there is a God, I know, because I continually feel the effects of His wrath; that there is a hell I am equally certain, having received an earnest of my inheritance already in my breast;” - [The Sudden Death of a Blasphemer!](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/atheism/the-sudden-death-of-a-blasphemer): “I will never be guilty of founding my hopes for the future upon such a compiled mess of trash as is contained in that book (the Bible), mother. Talk of that being the production of an Infinite mind;” - [You Must Be Born Again!](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/what-is-salvation/you-must-be-born-again): This is not something that we can do for God. This is something that God does for us (Eph. 2:8-10). We cannot save ourselves! We cannot change ourselves! Sin is a hereditary problem that has infected the entire human race. - [Confession is Not the Same Thing as Repentance](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/what-is-salvation/confession-is-not-the-same-thing-as-repentance): Most people think that if you have confessed your sins to God, then you have certainly repented of your sins. However, according to the Bible, confession is not the same thing as repentance. - [Sorrow is Not the Same Thing as Repentance](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/what-is-salvation/sorrow-is-not-the-same-thing-as-repentance): Most people think that if you are sorry for your sins and you confess them to God, then you have certainly repented of your sins. Are you a Christian? Chances are that you have already been deceived! Most modern Churches ignore these warnings from God in the New Testament. What about you? - [The False Jesus of the Modern Church](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/what-is-salvation/the-false-jesus-of-the-modern-church): The real Jesus is the one that matches the description of the Bible. Real Christianity is the one whose faith and practice is aligned with Holy Scripture. There is “another Jesus” that is deceiving backslidden or unconverted professing Christians. - [The Shocking Conversion of a Famous Religious Figure](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/what-is-salvation/the-shocking-conversion-of-a-famous-religious-figure): Things in this generation might change if men and women pick up the Bible and read it for themselves with trembling, humbling themselves to God in truth (Isa. 66:1-2; Isa. 57:15). - [The Salvation Testimony of a Former Witch](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/what-is-salvation/the-salvation-testimony-of-a-former-witch): My heart was filled with joy unspeakable! This is truly a testimony of God’s own glory, in that He can change the vilest soul and wash it white as snow, by the blood of Jesus Christ! - [Adultery is a Heinous Crime that Warrants the Death Penalty](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/what-is-salvation/adultery): Adultery was lawfully punished by the death penalty in the Kingdom of God of the Old Testament. Why? Because it is a “heinous crime” in the sight of God (Job 31:11). - [Preachers for Hire are a Curse to Africa](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/what-is-salvation/the-prosperity-gospel): Money can’t buy divine favor! That’s the truth. Jesus cursed the rich and blessed the poor (Luke 6:20, 24), while your neighborhood prosperity Preacher blesses the rich and curses the poor. - [The Godlessness of the Good Man](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/what-is-salvation/the-godlessness-of-the-good-man): The good man is still godless even if he is imitating the commandments of God in the flesh. This is nothing more than a pretty mask on an ugly face. - [Voices from Church History Confirm Lordship Salvation](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/what-is-salvation/lordship-salvation-voices-from-church-history): Yes, all it will cost you is a full surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ. All you've got to do to be saved is to die: that's all it costs to get to Christ. - ["Is Christ Your Lord?" - A.W. Pink](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/what-is-salvation/is-christ-your-lord-aw-pink): When we ask,"Is Christ your Lord?" we mean, does He in very deed occupy the throne of your heart, does He actually rule over your life? Until Christ becomes your King, until you bow to his scepter, SELF dominates. - [A Personal Confession that Jesus Christ is the Lord](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/what-is-salvation/the-lordship-of-jesus-christ): Without question, Jesus Christ is the Lord! The only question is if Jesus Christ is your Lord. Or are you the lord over your own life? That’s the point of the question in Luke 6:46. - [Conditions of Peace before a Lionlike King](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/what-is-salvation/conditions-of-peace-before-a-lionlike-king): War is coming! It’s midnight, and in the morning a great battle will be fought. Sinners will one day see it with their own eyes in all of its dreadful glory - ["Putting Off the Day & Hour of Salvation"](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/what-is-salvation/putting-off-the-day-hour-of-salvation): Before she died, she tore her hair, cast aside the trashy gew-gaws [showy jewelry] that adorned her person and of which heretofore she had been very fond, and throwing up her hands she cried aloud for mercy - [A Relationship with God](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/what-is-salvation/a-relationship-with-god): A true relationship with God changes your relationship with sin. Pink](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/what-is-salvation/the-way-of-salvation-aw-pink): The issue between God and man is SIN. Do you wish to be saved from it? This is a common and ordinary sin. - [The Strong Delusion of Drunkenness](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/what-is-salvation/drunkenness): Drunkenness numbs the conscience. It alters the state of mind. It distorts sound judgment. It steals the heart (Hos. 4:11). It silences conviction and breaks the moral compass of the people. - [The Outrageous Sin of Anger](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/what-is-salvation/anger): Most people dismiss this kind of behavior thinking that it’s no big deal, while adamantly condemning the sin of murder. Nevertheless, the Messiah had some fierce warnings for the danger that awaits those who are guilty of unrighteous anger. - [The Hellish Sin of Covetousness](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/what-is-salvation/covetousness): This is the sin of desire! Paul said that he would have never known about the sin of desire or lust except that the law said, “Thou shalt not covet.” - [HOMOSEXUALITY](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/what-is-salvation/homosexuality): The Savior of the world uttered these words as a message of hope and freedom for lost sinners. There is no excuse for living in sin. Not even the fact that you were born in it! - [The Animalistic Sin of Fornication](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/what-is-salvation/fornication): Any sensual or sexual contact with the opposite sex outside of marriage, where lusts are acted upon through physical contact of any degree, this kind of sinning falls into the category of fornication. - [The Horrific Stench & Deadly Poison of Lying](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/what-is-salvation/lying): Have you ever told a lie? Do you always speak the truth? Or, like most people, do you tell lies when it is to your advantage? There is no such thing as a harmless white lie! ### Atheism - [Divine Revelation in the Sky and Outer Space](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/atheism/divine-revelation-in-the-sky-outer-space): One thing has been constant day and night for thousands of years. - [The Existence of God is Weighing on Your Conscience](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/atheism/the-existence-of-god-is-weighing-on-your-conscience): Atheists like to present themselves to the public as lovers of science who will follow the facts wherever they may lead. Nor is it reckoned up according to the Law of the Primogenitor. - [Keeping the Sabbath in the New Testament?](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/biblical-history/keeping-the-sabbath-in-the-new-testament): Oldtimers used to preach against sabbath-breakers with holy indignation as if they were speaking to adulterers and murderers. Afterall, it is the violation of the 4th Commandment, which states: “Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy.” - [“The Apostle of the Gentiles” – Rom. 11:13](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/biblical-history/the-apostle-of-the-gentiles-rom-1113): The things revealed to Paul are impressive. Somehow, even Peter was compelled to publicly acknowledge the staggering “wisdom” of Paul’s Epistles (2 Pet. 3:15-16). Albeit, mankind is bound to misinterpret the moral of the story if the infallible record of Scripture isn't consulted. The disobedience of the Jews warranted Babylon of old - [Wiser than the Ancients? (Ps. 119:97-100)](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/biblical-history/wiser-than-the-ancients): Nowadays, in order for God to be honored aged men must be dishonored. In order for God to be heard the status quo hierarchy of authority must be disrupted. This proves true for all man-made structures of authority. - [When the "GOOD" is Short of "PERFECTION"](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/biblical-history/when-the-good-is-short-of-perfection): We, being 2,000 years removed from the 1st Advent of Christ, aspire to ground ourselves in an ancient and historic faith that has proven true through the test of time. - [Are You a Student of Church History?](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/biblical-history/are-you-a-student-of-church-history): If"the Church in the Wilderness"does indeed exist according to Holy Scripture (Acts 7:38), it is erroneous to believe that"the Church in the Civilization"is nonexistent. Right? Don'tyou think this is important (1 Cor. 10:11)? - [The Church & Its Attendees - is your name on the list?](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/biblical-history/the-church-its-attendees-is-your-name-on-the-list): Therefore, if the Church of the Old Testament (a shadow) was exclusive, the Church of the New Testament (the reality) is equally as exclusive. The shadow did portray the real image in its shadowing, you know! ### Calvinism vs Arminianism - [In Eternity After the Beginning During the Creation of Earth](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/the-sovereignty-of-god-in-the-first-verse-of-the-bible/in-eternity-after-the-beginning-during-the-creation-of-earth): God didn’t create mankind for the Earth. Mankind wasn’t an afterthought in the heart of God. Election motivated creation! God created the Earth for mankind. In Genesis, this can be observed in how the LORD subjected the Earth to mankind. - [In Eternity After the Beginning at the Creation of Heaven](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/the-sovereignty-of-god-in-the-first-verse-of-the-bible/in-eternity-after-the-beginning-at-the-creation-of-heaven): The perfections of the Trinity are limitless and endless. Out of the abundance of Their own goodness and love they created a beginning. According to Genesis 1:1, the LORD’s first act of creation was in the making of the third Heaven - [In Eternity Before the Beginning](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/the-sovereignty-of-god-in-the-first-verse-of-the-bible/in-eternity-before-the-beginning): An eternity transpired before the beginning. An eternity! The stillness and silence of eternity was filled with God. The divine being of God inhabited eternity. Mortal men cannot fathom such greatness. - [Can God Change His Mind?](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/calvinism-vs-arminianism/can-god-change-his-mind): Are you a student of Theology? Do you admire the attributes of God in Christ? It appears to plainly declare the fundamental difference between the Old Covenant & the New Covenant, namely that not everyone in Israel knew the LORD. - [Questions for the Neo-Calvinists of the 21st Century](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/calvinism-vs-arminianism/questions-for-the-neo-calvinists-of-the-21st-century): Salvation is by grace through faith apart from works, as stated in Ephesians 2:8-10. No true believer would disagree. No genuine recipient of saving grace would dare promote"works"as a means for justification before God. - [I'm Neither a Calvinist Nor an Arminian](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/calvinism-vs-arminianism/im-neither-a-calvinist-nor-an-arminian): I'm neither a Calvinist nor an Arminian. I am a Christian who Believes exactly what the Bible says. I believe that God is changeless, eternal, and irresistible, and I believe that God can change His mind - [The Calvinist's Fallacious Reasoning - John Wesley](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/calvinism-vs-arminianism/-the-calvinists-fallacious-reasoning-john-wesley): In short they say: If you get it, you can't lose it; and if you lose it you never had it. The “vision” that Peter was referring to was already written down, canonized, and circulated as Scripture through the Gospels (Matt. 16:21-17:13, Mk. 8:27-9:13, Lk. 9:29-35). - [Legacy Standard Bible Exposed](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/christian-academia-and-seminary/legacy-standard-bible-exposed): John MacArthur, over the past many years, has served as a beacon of hope to many for theological conservatism and fundamentalism. Passion does not equal power. Passionate preachers these days can stir up congregations into a frenzy of celebration. - [Theology | The Study of God | Knowing God](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/christian-academia-and-seminary/theology-the-study-of-god-knowing-god): They feel themselves to be the most humble people on the face of the earth by virtue of truly knowing God, but in reality what they believe to be the knowledge of God is the source of the problem. - [WHEN CELEBRITY PREACHERS CONFESS! ...Is Matt Chandler Unconverted?](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/christian-academia-and-seminary/when-celebrity-preachers-confess-is-matt-chandler-unconverted): “When you hear that kind of news, you do some real soul searching and here is something disturbing I found out about me. Why Christ overcame the world, and yet, you are overwhelmed by it? ### Creation & Science - [DAY #3 OF CREATION: Earth, Seas, & Plants](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/creation-and-science/day-3-of-creation-earth-seas-plants): The creation of an unsinkable and immovable supercontinent of dry land was an exploit of divine engineering, especially if all the soil, rock, and magma originally resided deep under the waters of the planet. Some perspective is needed here - [DAY #1 OF CREATION: Light & Darkness](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/creation-and-science/day-1-of-creation-light-darkness): Therefore, the light of Day #1 was a heavenly light that was coming directly from the Presence of God (1 Tim. 6:16; Ps. 104:1-2). Similarly, Abraham said under inspiration, “God will provide Himself a Lamb for a burnt-offering” (Gen. 22:8). - [The Lamb of God as a Burnt Offering](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/the-passion-of-jesus-christ/the-lamb-of-god-as-a-burnt-offering): In a marvelous prophecy, Abraham was called by God to assume the role of the Father in the Passion of Jesus Christ (Gen. 22:1-14). This viewpoint is rarely brought before readers even in the New Testament (Jn. 3:16, Rom. 8:32). - [The Mediator of the Old Testament](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/seeing-christ-in-a-theater-of-typology/the-mediator-of-the-old-testament): The duty of the Mediator was to stand in between the LORD and the congregation of Israel, to receive the Word of God on their behalf and deliver it them, because it was too dangerous for the people to receive it for themselves. - [The Doctrine of the Tree](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/the-passion-of-jesus-christ/the-doctrine-of-the-tree): Instead of using the word “Cross”, the apostles referred to it as a “Tree” on three occasions while preaching to Jews and Gentiles in Acts 5:30, 10:39, & 13:29. The noisy sound of reveling was replaced with strong regret and remorse. Many unbelievers began to make confessions of faith in dread amazement at what just happened! - [The Cross of Rome](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/the-passion-of-jesus-christ/the-cross-of-rome): The Cross was a unique form of torture that forced the crucified ones to inflict pain upon themselves. In order to fully exhale they would have to press against the nail in their feet - [Being Stripped Naked](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/the-passion-of-jesus-christ/being-stripped-naked): Publicly stripping people naked, even for the purpose of torture and execution, is an open display of contempt being projected upon those who are condemned to die. The personal sense of loss can become overwhelming - [The Darkness: Its Origin, Power, Presence, & Meaning](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/the-passion-of-jesus-christ/the-darkness-its-origin-power-presence-meaning): We can be absolutely certain that the darkness in question did not originate from astronomical disorder or confusion. Every detail of the crucifixion scene was sovereignly determined by God like every color and hue. - [The Cup of Wine & Myrrh](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/the-passion-of-jesus-christ/the-cup-of-wine-myrrh): In offering the Man this analgesic, Satan hoped to make void the sovereign design of the Passion. Nevertheless, the eye of the beholder must be spiritually unblinded (Matt. 13:16). - [Carrying the Cross to the Hill of Calvary](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/the-passion-of-jesus-christ/carrying-the-cross-to-the-hill-of-calvary): The physical weight of the Cross alone, by itself, didn’t make the Son of God stagger and collapse along the way. No! The weight of the world was upon the shoulders of the Lamb of God (Isa. 9:6-7). - [The 3rd Appearance Before Pilate: The Condemnation of Rome](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/the-passion-of-jesus-christ/the-3rd-appearance-before-pilate-the-condemnation-of-rome): This was a divinely planned presentation. Pilate said to the Jews, “Behold, I bring him forth to you…”, and then ceremoniously proclaimed, “Behold the Man!” (Jn. 19:5), while unknowingly speaking on behalf of God to Jerusalem. - [The Crown of Thorns](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/the-passion-of-jesus-christ/the-crown-of-thorns): Hundreds of soldiers proceeded to salute and hail Jesus as the King of the Jews, even bowing down upon their knees before Him as mock worshipers. Chaos ensued as the laughter turned into rage - [The 1st Appearance Before Pilate & Herod](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/the-passion-of-jesus-christ/the-1st-appearance-before-pilate-herod): Pilate’s determination to liberate Jesus is a little-known fact about the plot of the crucifixion story. However, this further confirms the message of the Gospel in the Passion of Jesus Christ. - [The 2nd Appearance Before Pilate](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/the-passion-of-jesus-christ/the-2nd-appearance-before-pilate): Pilate was determined to leverage this unity of judgment to his advantage hoping to dissuade the Jews from their murderous agenda. This is why Pilate emphasized that neither he nor Herod found Jesus worthy of death. - [The Scourging](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/the-passion-of-jesus-christ/the-scourging): Scourging was a notorious form of torture used by the Romans that was greatly feared by ancient society. As demonstrated in the Gospels, it regularly preceded the crucifixion of condemned prisoners. - [Gethsemane to Calvary: The Passion of Jesus Christ from Beginning to End](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/the-passion-of-jesus-christ/gethsemane-to-calvary-the-passion-of-jesus-christ-from-beginning-to-end): In a downpour of divine wrath that no other living being could survive, beginning in Gethsemane, the newly resolved Spirit of our Lord emerged out of the Garden more determined than ever (Heb. 9:14). - [HEMATIDROSIS: “Exceeding Sorrowful Even Unto Death” – Matt. 26:38](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/the-passion-of-jesus-christ/hematidrosis-exceeding-sorrowful-even-unto-death-matt-2638): Suddenly, our Lord became spiritually aware of the wrath of God descending upon His sacred head, and therefore the Son of God became “exceeding sorrowful even unto death” (Matt. 26:38). - [The Arrest: Conspiracy, Secrecy, & Betrayal](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/the-passion-of-jesus-christ/the-arrest-conspiracy-secrecy-betrayal): This was the awakening of the sword of divine justice for the smiting of Jesus Christ! Why? Because of the imputation of sin at the Garden. Of course, this was something everyone else couldn’t see at the time. - [The Condemnation of the Jewish Court of Judgment](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/the-passion-of-jesus-christ/the-condemnation-of-the-jewish-court-of-judgment): Nevertheless, it was necessary that Jesus Christ refrained from making a verbal defense in the court of the Jews. This question is absolutely vital to a personal discovery of the Passion of Jesus Christ. - [The Passion Began in the Garden of Gethsemane](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/the-passion-of-jesus-christ/the-passion-began-in-the-garden-of-gethsemane): If indeed, here, in the Garden of Gethsemane, the sins of the world were imputed into the body of Jesus Christ for the very first time, then this is the beginning of the greatest conflict the world has ever seen. - [The Passion of Jesus Christ According to Charles Spurgeon](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/the-passion-of-jesus-christ/the-passion-of-jesus-christ-according-to-charles-spurgeon): Still more think that these other episodes of suffering are not worthy to be mentioned while preaching the Atonement because it may undermine or distract people from the Cross. Mortal men cannot fathom such greatness. ### What Is Revival? - [The Revival of Job?](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/mortality-in-the-book-of-job/the-revival-of-job): A book written about a controversy is bound to be controversial. A situation that confounded the most godly men of the Early Church will no doubt confuse readers today. Doubtful readers of the Book of Job - [The Revival of King Solomon!](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/what-is-revival/the-revival-of-king-solomon): Divine benevolence is pleased to make happy sinners sadder with time (Jer. 2:19, 2 Cor. 7:8-10). Solomon as a backslider is no exception. Hence, the outburst: “Vanity of vanities…all is vanity.” (Eccl. 1:2)! - ["Oh Martha, Martha, You Have Sealed My Everlasting Damnation!"](https://www.youmustbebornagain.org/what-is-revival/oh-martha-martha-you-have-sealed-my-everlasting-damnation): He asked his wife to give him a glass of water for he would obtain none where he was going.
